Here's How to Adopt one of our amazing animals.
Our adoption process is designed to make sure our animals go to the best homes possible.
What goes into our application process:
- PROPERTY CHECK – We verify ownership of property, or we check with landlords to go over any restrictions that may be on the lease
- VET REFERENCE – All cats and dogs in the applicant's home must be current on vaccinations
- BACKGROUND CHECK – Almost Home has the right to deny adoption services based on the findings of a background check
The application process can take up to 5-7 days, depending on how quickly we can verify information.
Once your application has been approved, a staff member will contact you to schedule a time to meet the animal(s) you are interested in.
After your application is approved, it is kept on file for 6 months. That way, if you don't find the right fit immediately, your information is readily available for when the perfect companion comes along.
